There are moments — or even days — when you are so deeply immersed in yourself that the whole world seems like an illusion.
This painting is about the human soul, about an existential perception of the surrounding world.

Life doesn't stop on the streets even at night: cars, pedestrians, glowing shop windows. The girl's face seems to emerge from the darkness against the backdrop of a bright nocturnal city. Her eyes are wide open, but she is absorbed in herself, in her thoughts — and it is unclear what is the illusion: the glittering city or herself. Do you ever experience states where you seem to yourself either a tiny insignificant dot in this world, or, on the contrary — this very vast world? Are you in the city, or is the city within you? This dualism of perception is emphasized by the color scheme: the girl's face is achromatic, while the city is multicolored.

Special feature: The precise lines of the city were painted using a bank card.
